Creative Producer
Mary has 25 years of hands-on experience in Communications, Entertainment & Producing. She has a wide experience in all aspects of the Film Industry (exhibition, distribution, acquisition, production.) She has worked for a number of blue-chip companies in Greece, Indonesia and Mexico including DDB GREECE, GREY INDONESIA, JAKART FESTIVAL INDONESIA, WARNER ROADSHOW GREECE, VILLAGE ROADSHOW GREECE, ATTIKA GREECE, PIECE OF CAKE GREECE and is the founder of award-winning production house KIDARTE.
Mary is a screenwriter and published novelist and has also written TV series and a theatre play. Her first short film «The Armchair on the Pavement» as Writer-Director-Producer is financed by Hellenic Broadcast Corporation (ERT), premiered at the 46th Drama International Short Film Festival, and awarded with “Technical Excellence” by the Greek Cinema & Television Audiovisual Technicians Association. Her second short film «The Wolf’s Mouth» is currently in development, and has been selected on the 46th DISFF Pitching Lab. Her debut feature film is currently developed through Sundance Screenwriters’ programme.
Mary holds a degree in Law from the University of Athens, Greece, an Msc in Marketing from the University of Stirling, Scotland and has been further educated in Marketing in Harvard Business School. Her vocational training in cinema includes studies in Cinematography & Film Direction (Sundance Institute, New York Film Academy/ LaFemis) and several seminars on Story Development, Imagery, Screenwriting and Film Directing by Robert McKee & SCRIPT FACTORY U.K.
Mary is currently Ηead of Production and Creative Producer at Piece of Cake, an outfit that has produced and distributed more than 10 feature films in Greece. She is in charge to develop feature films & TV series that can break their national barriers and unite audiences through brave storytelling.
Mary speaks English, French, Spanish and Indonesian.
